We really had a wonderful time together. We got to go to the temple first, something we haven't done together in a very, very long time. Too long. It was so peaceful and happy to be there together. I made David take this picture of us to capture the happy moments right before leaving. I don't think we have very many pics of us at the temple. It was a gorgeous day too!
Next we tried to hurry downtown to have dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, one of our favorite places. We wanted to be at the Paramount by 7:30 and we didn't get to dinner until 6. They told us it would be about a 1/2 hour wait so we got some menus to look at to make our dinner selections ahead of time and made ourselves cozy leaning against the dessert case. A server accidentally spilled over a cup of coffee that got all over David's shirt.
The manager rushed over to see how she could help, got him some soda water, offered to pay for dry cleaning and apologized up and down. Luckily it didn't really burn him, it was just hot. With some scrubbing, you couldn't even see the coffee anymore. We were seated right away at a table plenty big looking out the window, had very speedy service (which came in handy since we wanted to be to the theatre sooner than later) and even some free dessert.
Here he is making sure the stain isn't noticeable (even though it is going to be dark in the theatre and dark outside very shortly).
Cheesey!
Woooooohooooo! Free cheesecake! HEAVEN!
Ok, he totally dared me to do this...I was supposed to get something out of it. I can't even remember what it was now. That's crummy! I don't even really like whipped cream.
We had been to the Paramount one other time to see the Lion King. I guess this sign will be taken down very soon if not already. I think someone was saying that it's an energy sucker and is so not "green."
I just thought this looked cool. We don't get out much.
This pic is funny because it looks like David is wearing a giant cowboy hat or black sombrero.
I forgot how pretty it is inside. It was fun to just walk around, kidless and enjoy each other.
It was a fantastic show. Now we know why so many people love it. We had a wonderful time together, having a real grown-up day/night out. I love my husband and even though we get pretty "daily," I love that we still have fun together when we can. He always tries to make me smile and laugh and really wants me to be happy. I am so grateful for that. I am grateful that he likes to try new things too...like going to a play on our anniversary instead of just an ordinary movie. You're the best!
