The Twins' Frist Birthday

The boys' birthday party was so much fun! Thank you to all the friends and family that made it so memorable.

The plan was to have a splash pool party (since the boys LOVE the water) outside at the park downtown Orting. We figured it would be in the 80's so thought it was a good idea. Well, it ended up being cloudy and not very warm...but it wasn't raining so that was good. We didn't get to play in the water but the kids did some finger painting, bubble blowing, park playing and running around.

The babies loved the attention from everyone. Even though Emren is shy, he still likes being around other people. He knows his Auntie Kristin and hung out with her a lot.

Mommy didn't want their tummies to hurt so she gave them rice krispie duckies instead of cake. I'll give them some cake in October when their "adjusted 1 year" birthday comes around.

Ethan helping brothers blow out their candles. Mama and her birthday boys...Yummy Duckies, Mama!

Wee! We love the swing. Won't be able to do this very much longer.

All the kids LOVED the pinata...

Well, sort of. Elijah got a little scared when Grandma was helping him with the bat.
He's still holding on to his bucket, waiting for that candy.

Emren's up to bat now. Grandpa is giving him some sound advice,
something about keeping his eye on the "ducky."

Emren even asked for another turn...Thanks Grandpa!

Come on Ethan...give it a good WHACK with the wrong side of the bat.

Finally Mommy had to have a good couple of turns (took a bit of aggression out) and out came the candy. The kids didn't need help with that part.

I was so busy having fun and trying to keep Ethan from covering his entire self with paints (unsuccessful) that I didn't take as many pictures as I wished I did. Sorry boys but trust me, you were cute, had fun and enjoyed the love that was there (and the food!).

  1. WIsh we could have been there. I still can't believe they are a year old already. I remember visiting those tiny boys in the hospital and now just look at them! Great job Momma!
